This is a popular waterfall in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. I got to the trailhead early in the morning and hiked through the misty woods for about 2.5 miles or so to get to the falls. I had the trail to myself and it felt great to walk through the woods early in the morning. The falls, obviously, were beautiful.

My First Post

Welcome to my blog! I am pretty new at blogging so please be patient as I try to work through it. The purpose of my blog is to share my photography with family and friends and to provide a bit of background information for each photograph that is shared. This photograph was taken on the Little River in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It was late afternoon and the weather was windy and blustery, but I was having the time of my life taking photos in the solitude of the park. I like this photograph because of the diagonal lines created by the rocks and water flow. I hope you enjoy it.
Canon 20D, 17-40mm lens, SS 1'6, f16
